Dog Programs We have been building
Advanced Therapy Dog Teams for Hospital programs since 2002.
As of January '08 we have trained over 180 teams specifically for
hospitals and rehabilitation facilities.
STATS:
Over 140 teams have
performed over 80,000
visits with zero
nosocomial infections.
Midwest Canine Academy and CM Academy combine
efforts exclusively with Paws4therapy to evaluate, set up, and
maintain a program that has received the honor of JCAHO best
practice!
Edward Hospital & Health Services
is proud to be one of the largest animal-assisted therapy programs
in the country. Their program has been cited as "best practice" by
Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organization
(JCAHO). Visit
www.edward.org.
We continue to streamline and modify policy and
procedure to meet the ever changing demands of AAT work in the best
hospital programs.

There is never one perfect way, a perfect dog, or
a perfect handler...each dog/handler team is unique and special.
We remember all of the dogs that pass through our lives, and we
thank you for making these adventures the most rewarding part of our
job.
Thank you
volunteers and dog/handler teams of Edward Hospital and Northwest
Community Hospital for the joy you bring to the world.
