Dog Builders is lucky to have Jim Stenfeldt, owner of CM Academy of Dog Training, part of our team.  We consider him our local dog whisperer, because of his innate ability to quickly identify the root of a dog's issue, then he fixes the problem with ease. 

His 35 years of observing dogs in households and in his private dog park have made him an expert in dog and pack behavior.  We often compare him to a Border Collie (his favorite breed) , because he is always watching and trying to 'figure it out.'

He uses positive reinforcement training, but prefers verbal and physical reinforcers rather than treats or a clicker.  Jim says, "Why would I complicate training with all of those fads when I see results faster with praise?"  When you work with Jim, he will make you as successful as you want to be.

He is a master of fixing handlers and dogs for ring work.  If you belong to a 'club' and are not scoring well, call Jim.  He will work with you privately or fit you into a class and increase your scores!  He will make it work!  Jim trains dogs every day, not just nights and weekends. Dog training is his full time job (not a hobby like club trainers).

Jim evaluates litters for breeders and clients.  If you want a dog to do specific job (service work, scent detection, therapy work), he will select the right dog.  His success rate is 99%!

Tracking is one of his specialties.  Call him and ask how well his last tracking team is performing in California and how many deer the blood hounds found this season.
